Amazing Extra Easy dinner

I really wanted spaghetti for dinner but didn't want the usual bolognaise so I tried to create a recipe I often see on restaurant menus, spaghetti with king prawns in a tomato chilli sauce.

I fried some red onion, chilli and garlic and added a tin of tin tomatoes and some baby spinach. Once the spinach had wilted I added a pack of king prawns and the already cooked spaghetti, finish with a sprinkle of parmesan (1.5 syns) it was amazing.

For dessert I made some more instant ice cream mixed with a banana and an options (2 syns).

Hangover Sunday

A bottle of champagne last night needed soaking up this morning with a quorn suasage (now 1 syn each...outrageous) egg and tomatoe sandwich (2 x small loaf wholemeal bread - healthy extra b) followed by a toffee muller yogurt.

I'm going to have a cross and blackwells savory mild curry rice for lunch before heading to the cinema where I will share one of those pret popcorn packs! (5.5 syns)

Red day....need cheese!

I had a craving for cheese so decided to have a red day and stuff peppers with mackeral in a spicy tomatoe sauce with 42 g of half fat mature cheddaron (healthy extra a) on top. I put these on a salad of rocket, cherry tomatoes and butternut squash that had been roasted in paprika, dressed with balsamic vinegar.

I'll probably have some natural yogurt mixed with peaches for dessert, and maybe a hifi bar as my second healthy extra b.

I'm going out tonight and will be drinking champagne (what else darling?) which isn't great but it's my only big syn spend this week!

Bran!

I'm giving scan bran a break today, but I had All Bran for breakfast, like crunchy bran you can have 42g of this cereal (healthy extra b). I mixed it with a strawberry muller yogurt and chopped banana.

I'm going to my brother's for lunch but have baked a tuna and bacon quiche (literally tuna and bacon mized with 5 eggs and whatever veg you have and an onion, baked in the oven for about 15-20 minutes on a low heat) to bring with me.

Today will either be a red or extra easy day, haven't decided yet!

Green day..........but pink food

Tonight for dinner I had beetroot risotto. I fried 1 red onion, added about half a small pack of arborio rice, and slowly added 1.5 pints of vegetable stock over about 20 minutes until all liquid is absorbed. In the last 5 minutes of the rice cooking add 100g of cubed beetroot with a few tbsp of the beetroot's juice. Serve with a side salad of rocket, roasted tomatoes in balsamic vinegar, and butternut squash roasted in paprika. It was delicious and a very fun colour.

I followed this with Instant ice cream, frozen berries blended with vanilla yogurt, 3 tbsp of sweetner and 1 tsp of vaillia essence. This is 1 syn because of blending the fruit. It was more like frozen yogurt than ice cream but still delicious. I think if I blended it and put it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes it would be more like ice cream consistency.

Finished the evening off with a cup of tea and hifi bar (2nd healthy extra b)

x

Green day!

Breakfast of beans, scrambled eggs, and mushrooms followed by a vanilla muller yogurt.
Lunch is the usual 5 x can bran (healthy extra b) with 4 x light laughing cow triangles (healthy extra a) topped with tomatoes.

Skinny popcorn!

This chocolate crackle flavour popcorn is a great substitute for the real thing, and only 11 syns for the whole pack....which isn't an amazing syn value but miles better than any other kind of pop corn! And it's really tasty.

x

Tuna Nicoise and Thai Sweet Chilli Rice

A wonderful dinner tonight of Tuna Nicoise, a can of tuna mixed with salad, olives (1 syn for 8 olives - in brine) green beans and egg drizzles with extra light salad cream (1 syn per tbsp) with a pack of bachelors savory thai sweet chilli rice. I also had this with a diet fiery ginger beer.......makes a nice change from coke zero all the time.

Dessert with be frozen berries with muller yogurt and an options (1.5 syns)!
X

Extra Easy Day!!!

Started the day with one of my favourite breakfast, mushroom omlette with baked beans...scrummy.

I've packed 5 x scan bran (healthy extra b) with 4 x light laughing cow (healthy extra a - any milk for my tea and coffee will be syns, 2 level 2tbsp of semi skimmed is 1/2 syn) and ham and cucumber.

Snacks are yogurts and bananas!

x

I did it!!!

Target has well and truly been smashed, 2.5lb off last night taking me to 1lb under my target weight. Me and my consultant went slightly crazy from excitment at the scales to say the least. It was a great moment for me, and wonderful to be able to share it with my group and say thank you for their support and my consultant's (Lord I sound like I'm accepting an Oscar) But I really don't think SW would work without the image therapy and support a great group offers.

I've definitely taken the scenic route to get to my target but I wouldn't have done it any other way, it's taken me just over a year to lose 2 stone 8lb but I've been living my life while doing it, I've said no to most cakes but not to all, I've indulged in probably far too many gins and glasses of wine, I've had take away curries and numerous meals out. SW teaches you about food and gives you an amazingly healthy relationship with it.

For the first time I can remember I do not want to lose weight and am happy with my body, I'm the healthiest I've ever been and have never felt more in control!

So where do I go from here....well the way SW works is that they give you 3lb either side of your target to hover between, which I think is great. I'll keep going to group to keep a track of my weight (which once you become a target member is free!) and I'm still going to keep my blog because I can imagine becoming complacent is a danger once you've reached target but I'm determined to maintain this great feeling!

Below is my celebratory dinner last night.....Cajun chicken with salsa and salad (I'll post the recipe later because it was delicious) And this gin may have been followed by 2 more and a couple of other syns....but hey back on the horse this morning for my new journey of maintaining!

Old School Ham and Pickle

I don't think I've had a ham and pickle sandwhiches in years and I had a real craving for one this morning (yup I'm that weird person who wakes up starving hungry dreaming about what I'll eat today........no idea how some people find it so natural to skip breakfast!) So I've packed my ham and pickle sanwhich away for lunch (healthy extra b) 1tbsp on pickle is 1 syn.

For breakfast I had 2 x weetabix with frozen yogurt and a strawberry muller yogurt, this means I've had my other healthy extra b so today I'll follow the original plan.

Weigh in tonight.................1.5lb off from target.......aaaahhh!

A sneaky Gin and super speed soup for dinner!

Work was followed by a gin and slim line tonic (2.5 syns) in the pub with mother......parents can be such a bad influence. That was followed by super speed soup for dinner, you would think that soup wouldn't fill you up but it's so packed full of veg, lentils and beans that after one bowl I was fit to burst, although naturally I found space for a banana and custard muller yogurt (These are still free before muller intorduce their new line!) mixed with frozen berries for dessert. I'll probably have an options (1.5 syns) a bit later as well.

x

Green day...eve before weigh in! And Muller news!

Scan bran, super speed soup and baked beans planned so a green day it is!

Breakfast: 2 pieces of wholemeal toast (healthy extra b) topped with 2 fried eggs and baked beans!

Lunch: 5 x scan bran with 4 x light laughing cow triangles and cucumber.

Snacks will be bananas and muller yogurts. I just read on the SW website that some muller yogurts are becoming syns because they are changing their recipe..........NOOOOO! The banana and custard one will now be 1 syn, how devestating. They  really do risk going out of business if they keep this up, I'm pretty certain I constitute 80% of thier business and the rest of SW are the other 20%. But on a brighter note they are brining out a coconut with chocolate sprinkles flavour which will be free.

Lamb and Vegetable Biryani

Here is the recipe I was raving about earlier....this is really worth trying!

Brown 500g lean lamb leg stakes until brown. Add 250g green beans (cut into small pieces), 1 lage carrot (cut into small pieces) 3 crushed cardamon pods, 2 cloves, 1/2 tsp tumeric, 1 cinnamon stick, 1 tbsp mild curry powder, and fry for 2-3 minutes.

Then add 250g dried basmati rice and 500ml lamb stock and stir well. Bring to the boil, cover and cook for 15 minutes on a low to medium heat or until the rice is tender.

Finally stir in 50g baby leaf spinach...cover with lif and leave to steam for 5 minutes.

x

Chilli Con Carni dinner!

Finished off my red day with chilli con carni, see the recipe below, it really is great. For dessert I mixed some fat free natural yogurt with canderel, really sweetens it up!

Chilli Con Carni

Fry 1 onion, add 2 cloves of garlic, add 2 chillis (cut up small) 2 tsp cumin, 1 tsp ground corriander, 1 tsp paprika. Add 1 pack of extra lean mince and brown, then add 1 tin of tomatoes and 1 tbps tomato puree and then 1/4 pint of beef stock and then add 1 small can of kidney beans!

Curry weekend followed by 3 perfect days before weigh in!

I had such a lovely weekend full of slimming world friendly curries, a chicken tikka masala and lamb biryani. The lamb biryani is exceptionally delicious and if you served that up at a dinner party....no one would think you were serving a 'healthy' curry, I'll post that recipe later!
So 3 days before weigh in where I'm hoping to finally reach target! Today I'm having a red day because I'll be heading for a meeting around lunch time today so need a sandwhich just to have on me to eat when I can. I've had 42g crunchy bran (1 healthy extra b) mixed with a cranberry and raspberry muller yogurt, banana, raspberries and grapes for breakfast. Lunch is a ham and cheese (half fat 42g healthy extra a) sandwhich with tomato and 1 tbsp of extra light salad cream (1 syn). I'll take a banana and yogurt for snacks.

Slimming World is great for a hangover...

Last night resulted in a bottle of wine shared between 3....and then 5 gin and slim line tonics (this bar was far more accomodating about the slim line than the other) So that was 21.5 syns......probably more like 30 because they were generous with the gin. So not great but again I snacked on SW friendly food when I got home and didn't blow it. Now I haven't got anything else to get in the way of having 5 great 100% food optimising days before weigh in, which starts with the perfect breakfast when you're feeling slightly delicate Egg and bacon sandwhich with tomato and tomato sauce....heaven. Tomato sauce is 1 syn for a level tbsp so I had about 2 syns. Followed this by a banana and custard muller yogurt.

I'm having an extra easy day because I'm planning to have a home made curry tonight so I've had my healthy extras so just free and super free food for me today.

Happy weekend!

Super noodles!

They really are very super, so I've ran home to have a snack before going to meet some friends for a drink and I haven't got much time so out comes the packet low fat super noodles! So quick and tasty, I opted for chicken and herb.

Variery is the spice of life

And I must admit I've been guilty of not mixing up what I'm eating the last few days, but convenience does sometimes dictate that and I go through phases with food....when I discover something I like I'll eat it for days!

So today I will have another green day; poached egg on toast (healthy extra b) with mushrooms and baked beans for breakfast, I only had one piece of toast which means I have another for a snack of some sort later. I've packed my 5 x scan bran for lunch (my second healthy extra b. I've committed to scan bran for the week because it does help with speeding up the weight loss and I am determined to get that 1.5 lbs for next week!) and I'll top with 4 x extra light laughing cow (healthy extra a) and tomatoes.

I'm going out tonight (will try to stick to the gin and slim line!) so will come home and grab a snack before hand....I'm craving some cous cous!

X

Did I say I'd try to avoid wine...

Well I didn't do too bad...not perfect but it could have been worse! Me and my friend shared a bottle of wine (14 syns) and then I had 1 Jack Daniels and diet coke (2.5 syns) I had originally ordered a gin and slim line tonic but the barman ignore my request and mixed my gin with a normal tonic, when I pointed this out he said 'We don't do diet tonic' I told him that was fine but I'd of perfered he had of told me that before pouring the drink and I'd like a JD and diet coke instead.....it may seem slightly picky but 250ml of tonic water is 4 syns.....completley not worth it when you could have a small glass of wine for 6 syns! Since joining slimming world asking for diet mixers and for the dressing on the side e.t.c had become second nature, it saves you syns and puts you in control when you're in a situation that you feel is out of your control...don't be afaid to be picky!

I came home to have some beans (always a great emergency staple) super speed soup, and tomato salsa left over from yesterday's dinner....just a hunger fix, but all free within the green day plan!

x

A brand new week!

Green day today, there are lot of speed and super speed food within the green plan that is just more convenient (and cheaper!) than original days.

Breakfast: Poached egg on 1 piece of toast with baked beans and mushrooms. I have one piece of toast left over so may have it with 1tbs jam (2 syns) before heading to work, I have a training session this morning which will of course be full of biscuits so I need to make sure I'm full and not tempted.

For lunch I have packed my 5 x scan brean (2nd healthy extra b) with 4 x extra light laughing cow triangle (healthy extra a - the other being used for milk) which will be topped with cucumber and tomato.

Snacks will be banana and yogurt.

I'm meeting a friend for a drink after work tonight.....will do my best to avoid wine!

Result!!

I lost 2lb!! I'm so pleased with that after the weekend. Now I'm 1.5lb off target....a lot of pressure for next week but I'm positive, more speed food ahead!

I came home to a lovely dinner of chicken, flattened out and topped with a a great tomato sauce made from 1 red onion, 1 red peper, 1 clove of garlic, 1 tbs stock, 2 vine tomatoes, 1 tin of tomatoes, 1 tsp tomato puree and 1tsp oregano....and to finish it off 42g melted half fat cheese (healthy extra a)

For deset a vanilla and chocolate sprinkle muller yogurt.

x

Classic weetabix and ham roll

When in doubt, definitely have a weetabix for breakfast. I used to live in America and I hunted down weetabix in the 'European' section of a supermarket and introduced  it to my work colleagues.......they wern't impressed but I think it's an absolute staple breakfast, and amazingly versatile. This morning I had 2 x weetabix, frozen berries, a banana and a raspberry and cranberry muller yogurt.

I'm following the original plan today so decided to use my other healthy extra b for lunch, I've really been craving a ham roll so that is exactly what I'm having, ham, cucumber, lettuce and a level tbs of lighter than light mayo (only 1/2 syn!)

Weigh in tonight.........will check in later with the result.....darn that dominos.

Soup

For dinner I had the Super Speed soup with a 57g wholemeal roll (6 syns - or a healthy extra b)

It was delicious and packed full of speed food. Here are the ingredients:

1 can mixed bean salad
1 can green lentils
2 cans chopped tomatoes
1 can baked beans
Handful of split lentils
2 large leeks
1 large onion
4 large carrots
Green, red or yellow pepper
2 beef stock cubes
Salt & pepper
Mixed herbs
Water (enough to cover all ingredients)

The above makes loads for lunches, quick dinners and leaves plenty to freeze!

Followed this with a banana and custard muller yogurt and am about to have my orange options (1.5 syns).

x

Green Speed!

Despite what  I said yesterday about original days, I've decided to try a green day packed full of speed food. I had poached eggs on toast (healthy extra b) with baked beans (super speed!) for breakfast.

I've packed 5 x Scan Bran (healthy extra b) for lunch to be topped with 4 extra light laughing cow triangles, cucumber and tomatoes.

For dinner I have a 'super speed' soup, which is a million ingredients which I will list for you later all whizzed up.

I feel heavy today and with weigh in tomorrow that is never good, so here's hoping the speed food comes good!

Monday, 18 July 2011

Stuff a pepper!

Came home late to a lovely dinner of curried mine (so mince meat with tin tomatoes and great spices like cumin and curry powder mixed with peas (not actually free on an original day but they can be my syns!) and carrots, stuffed in roasted peppers. Simple and delicious. Muller toffee yogurt for dessert.

x

Back to original

I've decided to go back to original days, I have enjoyed my pasta and noodles recently but green food has never worked as well for me as original so it's a case of better the devil you know before weigh in on Wednesday.

Breakfast today: 42g Crunchy Bran with banana, strawberries and fat free natural yogurt.

Lunch is 5 x scan bran topped with 4 x extra light laughing cow triangles, ham and tomatoes. Snacks will be Marks & Spencers count on us yogurts and granny smith apples.

x

Oopps

And so I was so excited by my sea food stir fry, I ate it before taking a photo. But essentially chilli garlic and ginger with as much sea food as you can get your hands on, a stir fry pack and soy sauce....lovely.
I followed it with a muller toffee yogurt, banana and frozen fruit and my trusty orange options (1.5 syns).

x

Dominos scuppered the amazing plan!

It all started so well......well maybe not well but I certainly felt in control. Lots of bubbly was had and then the buffet of vegetable samosas and spring rolls etc. I didn't go overboard with the food at all, although I probably did have a few too many chocs for desert! Then the bubbly ran out and the wine made an appearance, but I couldn't actually drink any, I think the bubbly had made me really bloated and wine was the last thing I wanted, so I drunk quite a lot of water. Then some jack daniels with diet coke and jager was had. So I went home thinking 'well it could have been a lot worse' and then worse made an appearance! Everyone ordered dominos and tipsy me just couldn't resist and I had 3 slices...... and maybe 1 or 5 potato wedges. I suppose it could have been worse if I'd had the whole pizza? But there are no excuses, just a lack of will power and a damn tasty pizza.

On the bright side I woke up with no hangover so I haven't had the munchies and have had a great day so far. Beans on toast (healthy extra b) for breakfast, beans mixed with bachelors beef rice for lunch, and bananas for snacks. Dinner tonight is a sea food stir fry with lots of great super speed foods (which will make my day an extra easy one) I'll post a picture later.

So the moral of my failed Saturday........Dominos is tasty......get back on the horse.

Challenge ahead...

In a couple of hours I'll be on my way to a family birthday, there will be a huge party tonight with catered Indian Food, accompanied by unlimited booze.........I'm good at putting a positive spin on most things but even I'm stretched to see how I could make this SW friendly. But this is the great thing about Slimming World, it's all about eating healthly, losing weight and still living your life, as my consultant always says 'The plan is easy, life isn't'. There will always be events that are there to be enjoyed, life would be pretty miserable if you didn't relax at least 20% of the time, what SW has taught me is to relax and enjoy these events but still stay in control.

So here is my plan, I've just had a huge free breakfast of scrambled egg, beans, tomatoes, and mushrooms followed by a grapefruit .

I will cook a simple pasta to take on the train with me for lunch so I won't be ravenous for when I get to the party (not being hungry makes it a lot easier to make sure you don't over eat for the sake of it). I will also try to avoid wine if I can, gin and slim line is a lot less syns. And if there is only wine I'll try to top it up with soda water and just drink it slowly and make sure I'm also drinking lots of water, a lot of the time when you drink alcohol quickly it's because you're dehydrated.

So I intend to stay in control, and enjoy the food and the party!

I'll check in tomorrow to let you know how I got on.

Lovely Pasta

Work laid on a huge catered lunch today, the usual packed sandwiches, mini quiches, chocolate slices, apple pie pasta salads, rice salad.......absolute temptation hell. Planning ahead meant it was all avoided though, I had my tuna quiche beforehand so just mingled amongst everyone with a cup of tea. I felt completely in control and really didn't feel deprived at all.

Snacks today were Marks & Spencer's count on us yogurt, an apple, a banana and a hifi bar.

Then I went to the hairdresses and they bought me a cup of tea with a sneaky 'caramalised biscuit' on the side, you know, the ones in the pack you get in hotels and on airplanes; I figured it couldn't be more than 2 syns so what the hell, ate it in one.

Came home to make a delicious simple pasta dish, spaghetti with butternut squash sauce. To make the sauce roast butternut squash in garlic and rosemary, blend once cooked with chicken stock and fat free fromage frais (alter amount of liquid depending on how you like the consistency) and season to taste.

x

Super Speed beans!

I've decided to have an extra easy day today to mix the week up a bit, and I had a hankering for baked beans so made a very filling breakfast of mushroom omlette with baked beans! Scrummy.

I've already packed up my tuna quiche with salad for lunch and plan on having pasta with a butternut squash sauce for dinner.

I'll check in later!

The ultimate burger

The day was not without temptation.......a huge chocolate cake for a colleague's birthday appeared in the kitchen at work around 4pm, but I managed to control myself (quite amazingly) and had a banana instead.
I also had an apple and bought some more of the Marks & Spencer's count on us yogurts, managed to have 1 instead of 3 though today!

And then came home to 'The Ultimate Burger' This is one of my favourite SW meals. Extra lean mince mixed with chilli and red onion, on a toasted small wholemeal bun (1 healthy extra b) topped with 42g low fat cheese (healthy extra a) carmalised red onion (using canderel) gherkins, tomato....and finally a fried egg. Absolutely huge, but so very wonderful.

This picture doesn't do the meal justice but you get the idea.

Just had a banana muller yogurt for dessert, amazing I still have room I know. I'll have an options later (1.5 syns) this is starting to become an evening habit, the organge one really does have the same taste as a terry's chocolate orange so you can imagine why.

X

And another week begins!

Another 'original' day ahead! It was a great group last night, great advice from all the other members and I always leave feeling positive and raring to go for the week ahead.

Crunchy bran (one healthy extra b) for breakfast with a muller strawberry yogurt, banana and frozen fruit.

Lunch today is a tuna quiche I made last night with salad. It is so quick to make this quiche, fry up (with fry light....but of couse) onions and whatever veg you have, mix up 5 eggs, pour the eggs vegetables and a can of tuna in a quiche dish and volia! Alter however you like with adding bacon, herbs, butternut squash, cottage cheese........whatever you like!

Snacks will be yogurt and banana......not feeling grapefruit today. Plan for dinner....home made burgers!

The wonders of food optimising

Just had weigh in and I maintained! Woohoo! Obviously I would have loved a loss but that maintain was after a fantastic weekend of celebrating a family birthday and demonstrates that no damage needs to be done if you food optimise 80% of the time. Bring on the next week!

Dinner tonight was cajun chicken with home made salsa and salad with kraft fat free italian dressing, followed by muller vanilla with chocolate sprinkles yogurt and frozen berries.....and a nice chocolate orange options (1.5 syns)

Tuna quiche cooked are ready for lunch tomorrow!

x

You have to love Crunchy Bran

One down side of the 'healthy extra b' on Slimming World is the amount of most cereals you're allowed, it's pretty absimal and doesn't go far to filling you up.....step in cruchchy bran! You're allowed 42g of this cereal (as you are All Bran) and when mixed with fruit and yogurt, my bowl is literally overflowing. This is what I had for breakfast today, crunchy bran mixed with frozen fruits, a banana and a muller raspberry and cranberry yogurt.

Today I will have an original day, my crunchy bran is one healthy extra b and I'll have my other for lunch (Scan Bran again!) I'll top my scan bran with ham and 4 x light laughing cow triangles (Healthy extra A...the other being used for milk) Snacks will be Muller yogurt, grapefruit and banana.

Tonight is weight in....aaaaahhh! I'm expecting to have put on due to the past weekend being spent celebrating my Grandad's 80th (If in doubt blame an OAP) It was a celebration that was worth it but the fact I have another birthday this weekend which is catered for (Indian Food...my absolute weakness) and will have endless booze is slightly daunting, but this is what this blog is for! I will plan my way around it but still have fun (positivity helps I think). I'll start by not having many if any syns other than Saturday.

I'll probably have a chicken stir fry for dinner or something quick, it's tricky getting back from weigh in at 9pm, doesn't give you much time to cook.

I'll update later with weight and dinner!

Soy Salmon Dinner

Ginger, garlic, chilli, red onion, red peper and pak choi all fryed up with soy sauce with a crumbled chicken oxo cube mixed in, toped with a baked salmon fillet drizzled in more soy sauce.

Dessert was an activita vanilla yogurt, chocolate orange options to follow later.......1.5 syns.

Good day!

Yogurt Overload

So today has so far gone well and to plan, although instead of muller or activia yogurts I had 3 count on us M&S ones which are free....I do like my yogurts. Off to make dinner! Will post a picture shortly. x

Poach an egg

Day 1 of my grand plan! I've decided today will be an original or 'red' day, I followed the original plan mainly before extra easy was introduced and find it has always worked better for me.
Breakfast was 2 poached eggs with mushrooms on 2 pieces of wholemeal toast (small loaf), rather delicious. I'll have a grapefruit as well. So I've already had one of my healthy extras.
Lunch has been packed up.......5 x Scan Bran (my other healthy extra, no hifi bar for me later!) 4 light laughing cow triangeles (Healthy extra A, I use my other for milk in tea and coffee) and tomatoes and ham for topping.
Snacks will be Muller or Activia yogurt with banana, apple and kiwi fruit.
The plan for dinner will be Salmon with pak choi cooked in chilli ginger and garlic with soy sauce, I'll post a pic later!

Good planning so far.

And so my plan begins..

Hello Everyone,

I'm assuming most people who will be reading this will be members of Slimming World so I won't begin by explaining the plan, for those of you who would like to lose weight and have not yet discovered SW...immediately find your nearest group and join, it is by far the easiest and healthiest way out there to reach your goal weight. Having said that, I am really struggling with the last part of my journey, I've got 3.5lbs to go until target but those 3.5lbs do not want to go anywhere, and if I'm honest, ideally I'd like to lose another 7lb after reaching my first target, but 1lb at a time right now.

My journey so far....I joined Slimming World in Septmember 2008 and lost 1stone 12.5lb in 6 months, then I moved to America for a year for work and put it all back on. It was both my lack of will power to say no to the never ending restaurants of New York and not having the support of group that I will be blaming that on! Anyway on returning to the UK I joined my old consultant's new class and since May 2010 have lost 2stone 3.5lbs.

The reason I'm writing this blog is because I have been hovering around this weight now for seven months, making excuses for not losing with a party here and a party there, friends birthdays every week, my birthday that I stretched out over a month. I hope that writing down my food diaries, recipes, how I'm feeling, planing, what is coming up that could sabotage my plans will really help me lose these final lbs, help me stay there once I do, and maybe help anyone else who is in the same situation.

Here's hoping!

X
