New Week Ahead!

I lost 1.5lb on Wednesday night which was half a lb off of my mini target I had set for the week but I'll take it!
This week however is proving to be tricky, last night I had a work event which was fulled with wine champagne and a sit down 3 course meal, and the scales aren't being too friendly as a result!

However, there wasn't much I could do about that (other than shown a bit better will power!) and it's about moving forward. I have a night out on Saturday coming up and a work lunch on Tuesday but I can make those events as SW friendly as I can and show better will power.

So today, extra easy day!
Breakfast: Scrambled egg with baked beans followed by a pink grapefruit!

Lunch: Vegetable and red lentil ratatouille.

Snacks: Pineapple, banana, apple, muller yogurt.

Dinner will be a steak and musroom casserole with loads of veg.

Oh how the gin became cocktails

So last night did not go to plan, work ended with bubbles which led to me thinking ah I'll just have some cocktails! We also ordered some spring rolls and I scoffed left ofer sheperd's pie when I got home.

But I'll just use my flexi syns and be good for the rest of the week.

Extra Easy Day Today:

Breakfast: Scrambled Eggs, Mushrooms, Tomatoes, Bacon, Baked Beans.

Pizza Express for lunch..............Tuna Nicoise Salad!

Mid morning snack: Banana

Lunch: Home-made Morrocan Butternut Squash Soup with 3 x sesame ryvitas (HEB)

Afternoon snack: Pineapple and an Apple.

Dinner: Shepherd's Pie (topped with carrot and swede) with broccoli and celeriac chips

Discovery of the day - Celeriac! I've never had it before and it's great, a mix between a parsnip and a celery stick in taste, very nutty. I chopped mine to be chip shape and baked them for 25 minutes.

For dessert I'll have a yogurt with frozen berries and a banana...........YUM.

Very succsesful day with no syns which is my plan due to the weekend coming up!

New Day!

Last night my friend came round for dinner and I made a yummy prawn spaghetti dish, however........we shared a bottle of wine and with that I lost my will power and shared a pack of crisps for starters and then 2 digestive choc biscuits and a kitkat........followed then by slimming world friendly total yogurt with strawberry (2 syns) and an options (2 syns).

So the above behaviour is what I need to stop........I need to stop losing my will power. The greatness of SW is that I can enjoy that half bottle of wine with my friend and have a wonderful dinner so why throw that away with the rubbish biscuits when I could have skipped to the yummy SW friendly dessert?

But as this post says, it is a new day. I have weigh in tonight and plan on buying a count down to really commit to my weight loss.

For breakfast today I wil have weetabix with frozen berries and banana with 2 x weetabix (HEB) and a muller yogurt.

For lunch I will have a moroccan butternut squash soup I made the other day, which is super free and delicious!

I'll leave it open as to have a green/red or extra easy day depending on what I fancy for dinner when I get home from group.

Here's to a new start.

Salmon with Butternut Squash puree and roasted balsamic cherry tomatoes

This is a fantastic original dinner, 2/3 of the plate is super free and it's all amazingly delicious! To make the butternut squash puree just roast the squash and then whizz it in a food processor with 2/3 tablespoons of fat free fromage frais, a pinch of cumin and 100ml of chicken stock, season to taste. Roast the tomatoes in balsamic vinegar, and pan fry the salmon!

Today I snacked on fruit and yogurt and still have a healthy extra b left so will have a hifi bar with a cup of tea!

I'm back!!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,

So I had a break from this blog and if I'm completely honest with myself, following slimming world, but I'm back because as a result the scales are not my friend! It doesn't feel right and I can't wait to get back on track, of which this blog was always a huge help.

So today is a red day, with a lunch of chicken salad and cottage cheese (cottage cheese is my latest discovery of how to make a salad fill you up more and just that bit tastier!)

Breakfast will be poached egg on toast (One of my healthy extra b) with some mushrooms.

Dinner undecided but I will get back to posting a yummy photo of whatever it is!!
Good to be back
